Dear e-Subscribers,
A great opportunity has arisen in Boyton Beach, Florida for our constituents to hear from two of our prior Eternal Light Award recipients. Rabbi A. James Rudin, one of the founders of our Center and Rev. John T. Pawlikowski will be speaking together on November 13. Rabbi Rudin was honored in 2007 and Rev. Pawlikowski received our second annual award back in 2000. Both gentlemen were honored for their outstanding contributions to interfaith understanding.
Our Florida-based readers and those who may be traveling to Florida on business or vacation are encouraged to take advantage of this event being hosted by our friends at the St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary.

There are few if any more knowledgeable or recognized experts than these two men on many issues of interest to Christians and Jews. Rabbi Rudin, a national figure associated with the American Jewish Committee, has been involved in the dialogue with different faiths for over thirty years, including private meetings with Pope John Paul II. Father Pawlikowski is professor of ethics at the Chicago Theological Union, has extensively studied the Nazi Holocaust and is a leading expert on Christian-Jewish relations and public ethics.
We hope this will be a significant event in furtherance of our seminary's commitment to bettering understanding between Jews and Christians. In peace/B'Shalom,
Dr. Emilio G. Chavez,
