Dr. Michael Tkacik, director of Saint Leo University's Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, has announced a Special Topics course focusing on Christian-Jewish inter-religious dialogue. The eight session course, titled "Abraham's Tent: Christians and Jews in Dialogue," will be offered in spring semester 2007 on the Saint Leo campus beginning January 6th on alternating Saturdays from 1-5 pm. The course is designed to serve both graduate and undergraduate students and will be team taught by Dr. Tyson Anderson, Linda Taggart (Vice Chairman of the Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies) and visiting lecturers from the Jewish community. The 8th Annual Eternal Light Award Dinner will be held at Michaels On East in Sarasota on February 18, 2007. Rabbi A. James Rudin will receive the award for his life's work in interfaith relations. Rabbi Rudin is one of the "founding fathers" of the Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies. You may read more about him by clicking onto the Center's logo shown in this section.
